Price: £49.99 per case of 4

Supplied in a cushioned plastic case, kit comprises of 4 KB02 safety lights with 4 magnetic fixing nuts and 4 powerful neodymium countersunk magnets. Designed as a lightweight space saving alternative to traditional beacons the lights can be deployed on portable police signs in seconds.

The two magnets in effect clamp the light securely in place, providing warning illumination to signage and increasing motorist awareness of an incident or police presence.

Incident Kit of 4 KB02 with Magnets + Neodymium Fixing Magnets

Police patrol vehicles carry a profusion of kit much of which is heavy and bulky.  Traditional police warning beacons can weigh several kilos each because of the heavy duty batteries they tend to use. Limited vehicle space and reasons of economy and vehicle performance restrict the number of lights a police vehicle can thus carry.

Now in a case measuring little more than a sheet of A4 paper and weighing less than a kilo in total, you have 4 magnetically mounted blue police warning lights that operate off cheap AA batteries, which will provide up to 12 hours light output each (dependent on battery quality).

These lights weigh little more than the 2 batteries that power them, thus they can be deployed on the lightweight  style of police road warning signs used by most police authorities. The lights will not unbalance the stand or in any way impair or damage the performance of the sign.

The magnets simply attract each other through the sign material (up to 8mm thick) providing a strong adhesive effect that will withstand severe weather conditions and high speed traffic passage.

They do not pose as much risk if impacted by a vehicle because of the lightweight and small nature of the components, particularly the batteries.

The neodymium magnet used  on the reverse of the road sign is countersunk with a hole through the middle, this allows it to be permanently fixed to a road sign if required, the officer having only to place the light opposite it to effect a magnetic bond.

A simple yet highly effective solution adding illumination to a greater number of police road signs at a reduced cost compared to traditional police warning beacons.

These lights emit light  primarily to the front and sides, they do not rotate being designed to alert oncoming motorists only.

More About the KB02

The KB02 is versatile, it can be placed on the ground, worn on the person, or attached to objects or signs by means of its optional accessories.

The universal locking nut with a magnetic back allows the light to be screwed firmly to portable police warning signage or be magnetically attached to metallic objects. To lock the light to a sign or indeed a garment requires a 5mm hole.

The low power requirements coupled with the units comparatively lightweight make this an alternative to the traditional strobe or flashing beacon which typically has a higher unit cost, greater power requirement and more bulky design all of which can limit its deployment potential.

Suction cup fixings allow this LED to be used as a highly effective emergency beacon on vehicle panels or windows.

With a choice of coloured lenses different requirements can be met, for example paramedics attending an incident would use the green lens, motorists would use the amber lens in the event of a breakdown or vehicle electrical failure, whilst police and fire services would use the blue variant when attending an incident.

Using LED’s rather than a strobe effect light prolongs the battery life of these multipurpose personal safety lights yet they are still highly visible and  are effective at distances in excess of 400M during the hours of darkness.

Mobile Backup

These lights, although not intended to replace traditional beacons or hazard warning lights do prove very useful as an auxiliary backup vehicle safety light. Vehicle hazard warning lights use 12 volts of power each and the draw a rotating beacon can have on a car battery could in fact drain it within an hour if the engine is not left on.

The KB02 can operate for more than 12 hours on just 2 AA batteries and so can be particularly useful as a backup to your normal emergency vehicle light systems.  Pair this with our high output rechargeable batteries and fast battery charger and you have an extremely economical safety light that should give many years of service.

Available in yellow / amber as well as green  for the medical professions– doctors, paramedics and ambulance crews, these lights can also be worn on the person to advertise a wearers presence as well as attached to vehicles, signs or objects as a warning marker or locator device.

Applications include doctors or paramedics attending call outs, St John’s Ambulance volunteers at large public events where identifying medical personnel can be difficult in large crowds.

Construction workers, highways agency  traffic officers (HATO), road maintenance crews from the private sector or local councils will derive benefits from being seen by road users or other types of vehicle drivers.

Many lightweight police roadside warning signs   cannot support traditional police warning beacons. The KB02 is supplied with twin magnets that clamp the light to the sign. The lightweight design of the KB02 weighing little more than the  2 x AA batteries that power it, will not adversely effect the stability of the traffic sign.

By making a small 5mm hole in a police warning sign and using the dual purpose locking nut the KB02 can be  fixed to a sign. This fixing method can be used on both rigid and flexible police signs. With flexible signs the lightweight light will not cause sagging or damage the sign’s material.
